The patented Mammut® sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting).

The hexagon studs in the Frog Grip sole, designed in cooperation with vibram®, ensure maximum grip on any surface. Mammut® has learned from Mother Nature and integrated the hexagonal surface structure of frog feet into this sole.

This system is based on the three functionalities of support, damping and climate control. Different footbeds accentuate different functionalities – up to two at the same time. The footbed used depends on the main activity for which the boot is designed.

This multifunctional sole was developed in cooperation with vibram® (Frog Grip); it has a medium tread depth modeled on Mother Nature. The hexagonal structure can also be observed on frog feet, and gives demonstrably safer grip than other shapes. The wedge made from high quality PU (polyurethane) offers best durability and good dampening
